Testimonials

Amerimar Business Centers was a life-saver when our company was going through the process of changing locations, which took much longer than expected. The staff welcomed us and was responsive to our needs by getting us up and running immediately, including phone, email and fax. And after we moved off of the Amerimar Business Centers floor we were able to continue to use their digital phone system and highly professional secretarial services.

Elevator Speech

Posted on: Monday, April 11, 2011

By: Ann Foster

I was talking with a co-worker the other day about how we would describe what type of business we do at Amerimar Business Centers – in other words, the elevator speech! We discussed at some length what we would say and quickly realized that it’s tough to describe our industry in a few meaningful words.

We’ve all been there in trying to explain what our business does – you’re at a party, business meeting OR in a real elevator when someone asks “What business are you in?”. There are so many answers to that question.  Generally I explain to people that I lease short term office space in downtown Indianapolis or that I manage a fully serviced office environment.  I also might say I lease fully furnished short term offices.  Do these examples make sense to you?  I hope so. I have to remember that the most important part of your elevator speech is having that good, concrete answer ready when the question arises.

As always, we would love to have you stop by for a visit/tour of our offices.  Don’t forget that you can always take a virtual tour here.

Our New Website!

I have great news!  We officially launched our newly designed website www.amerimarbusinesscenters.com on March 24th.  We were lucky to be able to work with Michael Reynolds and his talented team at SpinWeb here in Indianapolis on the construction of the website.  They made the process so easy – encouraging us to be a bit more edgy in the design of the site and still get our message out to potential office clients.  SpinWeb also has an enthusiastic staff that is always willing to help educate us. Our Marketing Coordinator, Jessica Berry, has already been through training with SpinWeb on the internal workings of the website, so that we can now do many website changes ourselves.  We will be able to import databases we currently have into the website for email blasts to the community and maximize the use of our marketing dollars!

Come take a look at the site and let me know your thoughts.  Of course, you will be able to contact me directly via our website and request information about our offices and services.  Amerimar Business Centers is the premier office business center in downtown Indianapolis and we are waiting to meet you!

Virtual Offices

Are you familiar with Virtual Offices? I am here to explain what a great opportunity they can offer for your company.

Let's imagine you are a startup company trying to think of a way to get your company off the ground. Not only is the cost important but you want to maintain a professional appearance. Let's compare the monthly costs of starting a company on your own versus using a virtual office. We'll assume that you're a small business with two employees, yourself and a receptionist.

  • Office rental: $700 - $900
  • Receptionist salary: $2,000 - $2,300
  • Telephone and internet connections: $200 - $300
  • Furniture rental: $200 - $300
  • Total Monthly expenses: $3,100 - $3,800

Now that doesn't include your salary, marketing expenses, or office supplies. Let's compare this pricing to what a virtual office would cost.

  • Virtual Address: $50/month - What if you just wanted the business professional address but not physical office space? This option solves your problems.
  • Virtual Receptionist: $125/month - You still get the great address but you also have a professional receptionist to answer you calls for you.
  • What if you company needs the use of a physical office, but just to meet clients occasionally?
    • VO16 provides you with the virtual address and receptionist as well as 16 hours of time in our day office. $175/month
    • VO40 offers the same as above but you get 40 hours of time in our day office. $300/month

What Can You See From our 20th Floor Boardroom?

I fell in love with the view from our 20th floor boardroom in downtown Indianapolis the day that I moved into the building, during the summer of 2002. I was so amazed by what I saw from that vantage point facing south into the city - I was immediately drawn to the path of I-70 winding its way from the far west side of the city toward Columbus, Ohio. I was astonished at the number of trucks on the road - I bet its close to 60% of the vehicles! No wonder they call Indiana the crossroads of America

Dramatic changes in our view of downtown began in early 2003. I watched the transformation of the Block's department store into some of the first downtown apartments. The Conrad Hotel emerged form the last open parcel of undeveloped land (corner of Washington and Illinois) in 2006 - Indy's first 5 star hotel in the area! Then the biggest event in recent history - the demolition of the RCA Dome and the building of Lucas Oil Stadium - wow!! The stadium can hold 70,000 people for a basketball game, not to mention a retractable roof for those frigid winter days when the Colts are playing in town.

Amerimar Business Centers is in the very heart of downtown - we have a good portion of Victory Field visible from our vantage point as well as the Circle Centre Mall and ArtsGarden straight south on Illinois Street. You can also see Eli Lilly's sprawling headquarters on the south side of Indy and the beautiful State Capitol building immediately to the west. One of our favorite views is of the Circle and the sparkling reflecting ponds. We always have a bird's eye view of the seasonal activities held there - like the Strawberry Festival in June and the Circle of Lights in November and December.
